Cooke to depart Toronto Star

Michael Cooke will depart the position of editor of the Toronto Star on June 1. Cooke has been editor of the newspaper since 2009. Cooke, who is the chair of Journalists for Human Rights, will focus on training international journalists on human rights reporting. The Toronto Star has retained executive recruitment firm SpencerStuart to search for a replacement.
