Aeroplan forms deal with Amazon.ca

Aeroplan has formed an agreement with Amazon.ca by which participants in the loyalty program will earn points for purchased made through the online retailer. Participants who visit Amazon.ca through Aeroplan.com will receive a minimum of one point for each dollar spent. The agreement will go into effect on April 24. Aeroplan is owned by Aimia of Montreal.
"With an ever-increasing amount of shopping being done online, we're thrilled that our members will now be able to earn Aeroplan Miles on Amazon.ca, allowing them to get closer to their travel plans," said Vince Timpano, coalitions president at Aimia. "Our members have big travel plans, so making every single purchase work hard for them, even as they change where they shop, is critical to our continued evolution as the trusted companion for savvy traveling Canadians."
