Amazon.ca debuts new marketing services
Online retailer Amazon has launched a new service in Canada called Amazon Marketing Services. It comprises a set of self-service advertising products which clients can use to improve product discovery and increase brand awareness on the Amazon.ca website. The service uses a pay-per-click model encompassing sponsored products listings, headline search listings and display advertising based on search keywords. The advertising will run on Amazon.ca and other participating sites including IMDB.com and Twitch.com. Ads will also be programmatically placed on third-party websites and mobile applications. Merchants using Amazon.ca can also create a branded "Amazon Store" featuring selected products. The company has created a website for the service at <https://ams.amazon.ca>.
"We've seen a wide variety of brands experience strong results using Amazon Marketing Services in other regions, increasing their discoverability on Amazon search results and relevant product pages and helping to positively impact sales," said Tamir Bar-Haim, head of advertising for Amazon in Canada. "We're excited to expand the range of advertising solutions available to brands on Amazon.ca, particularly as we head into the holiday shopping season."
