Website roundup

The Toronto Star has redesigned its website at <http://www.thestar.com>. The new site incorporates a feature called MyStar that is intended to allow readers to customize their online experience. Visitors to the site can save articles to read later, follow favourite writers or coverage of specific sports teams, and customize elements such as weather forecasts and horoscopes. The changes also include a new navigation system and a layout which is intended to be easier to read on devices of various sizes. "With over 3.1 million unique visitors monthly to our website, we want to ensure every reader is getting the content they want easily and quickly," said editor Michael Cooke. "Readers will have an entirely new experience when they visit TheStar.com. We've redesigned the website with readers in mind. Content has been reorganized for navigation ease and we've added new sections such as Your Toronto, Homes, Health & Wellness and Personal Finance." The Toronto Star is a division of Star Media Group, which is a division of Toronto Star Newspapers, which is a subsidiary of Torstar.
