Wheels.ca readies redesign

Toronto-based automotive website Wheels.ca has undertaken a redesign. The new site will debut on Feb. 9. It will focus on "the joys of owning an automobile." The site makes use of a responsive design that adapts to desktop computers or mobile devices. Users can search for vehicles by make and model and compare various brands. The site also features automotive lifestyle stories and video content produced by Driving Television. New advertising options on the site will include sponsored content, video and social media campaigns.

"We are redefining the online automotive experience," said Jonmichael Moy, general manager of Wheels.ca. "Users will still be able to read reviews and search for vehicles, which Wheels.ca is known for, but they will get an immersive experience based on how a vehicle enhances their daily lives, with more videos, new writers and stories from across the country."

The launch of the new site will be sponsored by Toyota Canada. The relaunch is timed to coincide with the 2015 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, which will take place from Feb. 13 to 22. The Toronto Star and Wheels.ca will be the presenting sponsors of the show. Wheels.ca is a property of Toronto Star Newspapers and Metroland Media Group.
