PepsiCo Canada readies Lay's Super Bowl ad

PepsiCo Canada will run an exclusively Canadian television commercial for its Lay's brand of potato chips during the broadcast of the Super Bowl this weekend. The ad will feature comedian Martin Short playing a number of characters and will introduce a new contest promotion for the brand in 2013. The commercial will continue to run nationally for several weeks after its debut. "The Lay's brand is always looking for new ways to engage with Canadians," said Susan Irving, director of marketing at PepsiCo Foods Canada. "The ad launching on Sunday will be the start of an exciting and new interactive program for Lay's chip lovers all across Canada. Martin Short has been an incredible partner throughout this process. His natural creativity and energy have fuelled an ad that we think will get Canadians thinking about flavour, and excited for what's coming for the Lay's brand in 2013."
