McDonald's hires Wieden & Kennedy

McDonald’s Canada has retained Wieden & Kennedy to develop a segment of its advertising campaigns. According to the company, Wieden & Kennedy was hired after a search of McDonald’s global agencies. Its first work will appear in October. Cossette remains the agency of record of McDonald’s Canada.
“We have big ambitions both globally and within Canada to drive the brand and the business through creative effectiveness,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing officer at McDonald’s Canada. “This is going to be a turning point for impact of our Canadian marketing. I’m so glad we are all on this journey together to build the best, most guest-connected strategic and creative work.”
