Tangerine releases commercial song for sale

Toronto-based online bank Tangerine has released the musical track from its latest television commercial as a charitable fundraising initiative. The song, called "Hard Work" by was created for the commercial by RMWmusic. It is now being sold as a full-length song and a telephone ringtone through the Canadian ITunes and Google Play online music stores. Proceeds from the sale of the song will go to Tangerine's "Bright Way Forward" program, which provides charitable support to a number of organizations nationally. The "Hard Work" commercial was developed by John St. of Toronto and releases in January.

"The sentiment of our new commercial really resonated with Canadians, and the music is the unifying element that ties all the scenes together," said Brenda Rideout, chief strategy officer at Tangerine. "After receiving an overwhelmingly positive response and being flooded with requests for the song, we decided to record an extended version and give Canadians what they were looking for. It's very exciting."

Tangerine is a subsidiary of Scotiabank.
