Shoppers Drug Mart redesigns Glow

Shoppers Drug Mart has redesigned its Glow magazine and Glow.ca website. The publication, which specializes in beauty techniques, is produced for the chain eight times per year by St. Joseph Communications. The new design is intended to be more "bold and energized," with a new colour palette and a revised typeface. The layout also incorporates additional sidebars, pull quotes and icons. The editorial tone has also been altered in an effort to be more attention-getting, according to the company. The website has been redesigned to be more mobile- and social media-friendly, with new options for advertising banners as well as native content campaigns.

"It was important that the Glow refresh express a point of view that readers could identify with and that would stimulate the girlfriend to girlfriend dialogue online, in-book and via social," said Shelagh Stoneham, senior vice-president of marketing at Shoppers Drug Mart. "Glow is all about having genuine, candid conversation about beauty and we challenged ourselves on how to effectively expand and deepen this dialogue on all platforms."
