Mars begins holiday window promotion

Candy company Mars Wrigley Canada has begun a holiday season promotion in Toronto called “Wonders of Mars.” The effort consists of candy-themed holiday displays in the windows of the former Hudson’s Bay store at Yonge and Queen Streets. The store had hosted holiday window displays for 70 years. The seven Mars installations will remain in place until Jan. 2. Each display includes a QR code that consumers can use to submit a holiday wish list to <http://www.wondersofmars.ca>. The company will donate one dollar to Food Banks Canada for each submission. The promotion also includes social media content and media relations. The initiative was developed by Middle Child, with the installations produced by MWD Creative Agency.
“As a family-owned company with more than 100 years of history, we know how deeply traditions shape joy and connection,” said Ellen Thompson, general manager of Mars Wrigley Canada. “We’re proud to give back to the community by helping continue a holiday tradition that has sparked magic and happiness for families across the city.”
