Hubba Bubba conducts emoji campaign

Candy company Mars Wrigley Canada has begun a promotion for its Hubba Bubba brand, timed to coincide with National Bubble Gum Day on Feb. 7. Called “Hubba Bubba Emoji-Motion” The campaign encourages consumers to signed an online petition calling for the adoption of a bubble gum emoji. The promotion, aimed primarily at younger consumers, also makes use of social media content. The effort includes public relations from Middle Child.

“Hubba Bubba is all about inspiring creativity and playfulness,” said Patrick Zeng, marketing director at Mars Wrigley Canada. “With the ‘Emoji-Motion’ campaign, we’re inviting Canadians to join us in shaping the way we express ourselves digitally. A bubble gum emoji will give fans a whole new way to add personality to their messages, and we’re excited to see them rally behind this fun initiative.”
