Victim Services Toronto conducts campaign

Victim Services Toronto, an agency that provides support to victims of crime, has begun a campaign called “Least Listened To.” Developed by Sid Lee,  the media campaign is timed to coincide with the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women on Dec. 6. The intent is to highlight stigmas attached to victims of sexual assault and presents statistics of these crimes in a style mimicking Spotify’s lists of most popular songs of the year. It features social media and out-of-home executions.

“Through emotionally-charged digital stories, vibrant data visualizations and out-of-home installations across the city, this campaign serves to remind us all that the most important stories are the ones we need to hear the most,” said Manali Kulkarni, associate creative director at Sid Lee. “Each visual draws viewers in with the language of top song charts before revealing sobering realities: the number of survivors, calls for help and the power of finally being heard.”
