Juno Awards begins sustainability campaign

The Juno Awards have begun an online campaign called "What Do You Do?" The initiative is intended to raise awareness of the issue of sustainability. The campaign includes an online video featuring a collection of Canadian musicians and celebrities, including Billy Talent, Chris Hadfield and Said the Whale. In the video, which has been posted at <http://www.junotv.ca>, the participants describe the steps they have taken in their daily lives to be more sustainable. Additional videos will be released each week through the month of March.

The campaign also includes a social media element that invites Canadians to submit their own answers to the question, "What do you do?" via Twitter. Submitters will be entered into a draw for Juno merchandise and tickets to 2014 Juno Week events. Another element is a blog on the website featuring posts from 11-year-old environmental activist Hannah Alper.

The Juno Awards are produced by the Toronto-based Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
