Juno Awards debuts new branding

The Toronto-based Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has introduced new branding for its annual Juno Awards. According to the organization, the new logos and other brand materials are intended to depict the awards as "an instantly recognizable champion of the Canadian music industry." They are also intended to provide consistency across all of the brand's events, programs and shows. The new branding was developed by J. Walter Thompson Canada.

"The Junos brand is much more than simply an awards show," said Allan Reid, president and CEO of CARAS. "We are dedicated to promoting and celebrating Canadian music and artists 365 days a year. "The Junos logo is a bold, fluid and confident stamp of authority. It represents a seal of excellence, championing the talent and diversity found in the Canadian music landscape."
