Edmonton Street Performers Festival hires Twist Marketing

The Edmonton Street Performers Festival has retained Twist Marketing of Calgary to undertake a rebranding initiative. The assignment includes the development of a new 30th anniversary logo for the 2014 edition of the festival, which will take place from July 4 to 13. The new branding takes the concept of smiling as its theme, including a logo that incorporates a smiley face. The festival will extend the imagery to its sponsorship activities, employee engagement programs and other associated brand materials.

"At the core of every successful brand is an inspiring moment of truth," said Sherry Baumgardner, senior marketing consultant at Twist Marketing. "Thirty years ago, the founders of the Edmonton Street Performers Festival wanted to make Edmontonians smile. The idea of creating smiles is even more relevant today. The fresh new branding that we created with an internationally recognizable happy face captivates the essence of the festival as it continues building for the future."
