Shaw launches History Go application

Shaw Media of Toronto has launched a new mobile application called History Go in support of its specialty television channel History. The application, which is available for Android and Apple devices, allows subscribers to the channel to access approximately 300 hours of television programming from 20 series. A web-based version of the service has been added to the channel's website at <http://www.history.ca>. New episodes of participating shows will be added to the service the day after their television premiere.
"History Go is a strong addition to Shaw's TV everywhere offerings, providing History subscribers with a substantial library of the channel's top content," said Paul Robertson, president of Shaw Media. "We are dedicated to giving TV subscribers greater choice and flexibility over what they watch, how they watch, and when they watch. With the launch of History Go we are continuing to deliver on that commitment."
History Go is currently available to customers of Shaw, Shaw Direct and Rogers Communications, as well as a number of CCSA distributors. It will become available to customers of Telus Optik TV and Cogeco Cable Canada subscribers this month.
