Astral Out-of-Home to add advertising columns in Montreal

Astral Out-of-Home has introduced a project to install 14 new advertising structures in the Quartier des Spectacles area of Montreal. Astral will undertake the project in association with the Ville-Marie Borough and the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership. The columns will be designed by Michel Dallaire, who has previously been done design work on the Bixi self-service bicycle system, street furniture in Montreal's Quartier International and the digital column in front of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

According to Astral, the structures will reach festival-goers and tourists, as well as the 47,000 workers and 45,000 students who visit the area daily. In addition to advertising, they will display city messages and will be equipped with control units for traffic lights.

"As the OOH industry leader in Montreal, we are also pleased to pursue the deployment of our digital network in the city's downtown with the addition of ten new structures. The new installations, equipped with LCD screens and NFC and QR code technology, are located entirely in downtown Montreal. This increases our network of advertising faces to 40."
