Ice cream retailer Dairy Queen Canada has retained Publicis Canada as its advertising agency of record. Publicis won the account in a formal agency review involving an unknown number of contenders. "It was exciting to witness the tremendous amount of interest from agencies across the country," said Denise Hutton, marketing vice-president at Dairy Queen Canada. "Publicis has a lot of great expertise and we were impressed with the agency's fresh approach on our business. They understand our brand and we are thrilled to be working with them." The assignment covers advertising creative and other related activities in Canada. The company expects to release a new national television campaign in the spring. Dairy Queen has 570 locations in Canada.
