Dairy Queen begins Falling Treats promotion

Fast food chain Dairy Queen Canada has begun a fall promotion called “Falling Treats.” During the initiative, participants in the chain’s DQ Rewards loyalty program will receive a digital coupon for a special offer by using social media service Snapchat to submit an image of a fallen maple leaf. The offer is being supported with an online video and content marketing. The promotion was developed by Publicis Canada, with media work by DentsuX. It will run until Nov. 9.
“We wanted to find a simple, seasonal idea that could drive engagement and sales while staying true to DQ’s playful spirit,” said Vini Dalvi, chief creative officer at Publicis Canada. “Transforming the maple leaf into a moment of joy felt like the perfect way to do that.”
