Canada Goose readies film festival contest

Cold weather clothing company Canada Goose has signed-on as a sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival. The company will sponsor the festival's Best Canadian Feature Film award. As part of the agreement, a trailer-style commercial called "Journey North" will be displayed prior to each Canadian film screened at the festival. Canada Goose will also conduct an online contest tied to the festival, during which consumers will be invited to submit a script for a 90-second video of Pemberton Glacier. The video was created by Doug & Serge of Toronto. The winner will receive a prize package including a professional recording of their script, tickets to upcoming events and Canada Goose outerwear. The contest will begin on Sept. 4 at <http://www.journeynorth.ca>. "Film is the perfect intersection for Canada Goose," said Dani Reiss, president and CEO of Canada Goose. "It's where function and utility meet fashion and glamour. To align ourselves with such a world-renown event as an official award sponsor, and to have a role in showcasing some of the amazing cinematic talent Canada has to offer, is truly exciting."
