Travel Alberta begins elevator campaign

Travel Alberta has begun an out-of-home campaign promoting the province as a winter tourist destination. The campaign consists of elevator advertising in office buildings in Calgary and in Fashion Island Mall in Orange County, CA. The outside doors of the elevators display images of skis and snowboards in storage bins. The insides of the elevators have been wrapped to resemble a gondola car over a mountain landscape with a ski run. The campaign was developed by Venture Communications. "This creative execution aims to bring the Alberta travel experience to life," said Paul Hains, chief creative officer at Venture. "Elevators are a unique advertising space and we couldn't think of a better spot to transform into a gondola. These wraps act to captivate and engage riders to remember to breathe."
