Pickering Town Centre conducts Men's Den promotion

Shopping mall Pickering Town Centre, located in Pickering, ON, has begun a promotion called the "Men's Den." The initiative makes use of a 5,000 square-foot installation at the mall intended to be a place where men can spend time while their wives or girlfriends are holiday shopping. The installation includes sports broadcasts on a large-screen television, video games, foosball and bubble hockey games, as well as a concierge service that will offer gift suggestions. Customers can also enter a draw for an Apple IPad2 and a $1,000 shopping spree at the mall. The location is also accepting donations to Prostate Cancer Canada. "When it comes to Christmas shopping, most men are not as interested, involved or organized as their partners tend to be," said Lorna Murphy, marketing director at Pickering Town Centre. "So we decided that it's time to celebrate these differences to keep both genders smiling during the holiday season." The promotion will run until Dec. 24.
