McDonald's promotes Greek menu

McDonald's Restaurants has begun an out-of-home campaign in Toronto promoting its new line of Mediterranean-themed menu items. The creative takes the form of a Greek column supporting a billboard that reads, "Oh My Zeus, It's Good." The overall campaign also includes television, radio, online and in-store advertising, developed by Cossette. Media buying was handled by OMD. The campaign will run through July. "We wanted to inject a bit of fun and theatricality to our outdoor advertising," said Alyssa Huggins. "The unexpected appearance of a Greek column, especially in the middle of a modern urban streetscape, draws special attention to our message and in a way that is consistent with our overall advertising theme."
