General Mills sends digital account to Cossette

General Mills has consolidated its digital marketing activities at Cossette of Toronto. The assignment includes strategy, creative and buying for digital media. Cossette has handled the company's traditional brand advertising and public relations for for 10 years. "To be most effective, we want our digital communications strategy, which includes search and social marketing, to work seamlessly," said Dale Storey, vice-president and marketing director at General Mills. "We felt that Cossette's digital offering, which links new media knowledge, online expertise and proficiency in social media marketing under one team, provided the right solution for us." Traditional media planning and buying for General Mills will continue to be handled by ZenithOptimedia.
