Procter & Gamble promotes Gillette Venus Embrace

Procter & Gamble has begun a product sampling promotion for its Gillette Venus Embrace razor. From May 5 to August 24, customers who spend over $50 at a Bikini Village store in Quebec or Ontario or an Aqua store in Vancouver or Edmonton will receive a free razor. The offer is being promoted with posters in the fitting rooms of participating stores and other point-of-purchase materials. The promotion is being conducted by Fashion Frame of Montreal. "This is a great opportunity for P&G to introduce our new Venus Embrace razors," said Melissa Prospero, brand manager for Venus. "Fashion Frame offers us the benefit of integrated promotional association inside Bikini Village and Aqua boutiques with a turnkey project which meets our objectives to reach today's woman in an intimate environment."

In related news, Fashion Frame has signed an agreement with YM to install advertising displays in the fitting rooms of its retail chain Sirens. The stores are aimed at women between the ages of 18 and 34. "This new partnership with Sirens confirms Fashion Frame as a dominant indoor media among the retail fashion industry while offering multiple in-store marketing solutions to national advertisers," said Fashion Frame president Danielle Chagnon. "The dynamics of the Sirens boutiques will permit unique complicity between their trendy clientele and our advertisers. The company's advertising inventory now includes displays in 6,000 fitting rooms in 600 stores belonging to 35 retail chains.
