Air Miles begins movie promotion

Toronto-based loyalty program Air Miles has begun a promotion aimed at program participants called the "Free Movie Escape." Consumers must first register at <http://www.airmilesfreemovie.ca>, then obtain a coupon booklet from a participating retailer or online. After using three of the coupons, the consumer can claim a movie-themed reward, including a single admission to a Cineplex or Empire theatre, a movie rental from Blockbuster or 65 loyalty points. The promotion, developed in-house, is being supported with point-of-sale materials at participating retailers and direct mail. Public relations are being conducted by Pilot PMR.
