Pfizer Canada of Kirkland, QC has released a new national campaign for its erectile dysfunction product Viagra. The campaign consists of four 15-second television commercials developed by Taxi. Each one depicts a man and a woman sitting in silence. Part way through each ad, one person speaks the other's name. The commercial is then interrupted by a blue screen labeled "Viagra Intermission." Each ad closes with the two people sitting in silence again. According to the agency, the ads are intended to communicate that Viagra brings back the joy of sex with explicitly explaining what the product does, in accordance with government regulations on consumer drug advertising.
