Canadian Public Relations Society holds awards
The Toronto-based Canadian Public Relations Society recently held its annual National Awards Gala, recognizing achievement in the fields of public relations and communications. The 2014 gold Awards of Excellence winners included: Veritas Communications in the marketing communications category; Ambulance New Brunswick in the community relations category; Manifest Communications for advocacy and social marketing; Pfizer Canada and Strategic Objectives for agency media relations; Rogers Communications for non-agency media relations; Alberta Blue Cross for internal communications; Espace pour la vie in the category of special events; the Alberta Energy Regulator in the multi-media category; DDB Public Relations for electronic and social media; and Paradigm Public Relations for writing.
"CPRS is proud to celebrate the best in Canadian public relations and communications management by awarding gold, silver and bronze Awards of Excellence to our industry peers," said Pierrette Leonard, presiding officer of the awards. "Our members do remarkable work for their organization or clients, and the CPRS awards allow communicators from across the country to be congratulated by the Canadian public relations and communications community as a whole."
