Pfizer extends Tagliani sponsorship

Pfizer Canada has renewed its sponsorship agreement with NASCAR driver Alex Tagliani for a second year. The company's EpiPen Auto-Injector will be the title sponsor of Tagliani's car during the 2014 Canadian Tire Series of races, which will run from May to September. The EpiPen is a device for the emergency treatment of anaphylactic reactions caused by food allergies.

Tagliani will also participate for a second year in a number of awareness activities conducted by charitable organization Anaphylaxis Canada. In the spring, he will visit schools in Montreal, Toronto and Edmonton to raise awareness of anaphylaxis management and food allergies. He will also take part in a helmet design contest and a car design contest aimed at students.

"As someone with a severe allergy to peanuts and tree nuts, I am extremely happy to once again be teaming up with Pfizer Canada and Anaphylaxis Canada to raise awareness of food allergies and anaphylaxis," said Tagliani. "I'm looking forward to an exciting summer of racing with the NASCAR Canadian Tire series and meeting fans right across Canada."
