Unilever begins Sisterhood tea campaign

Unilever Canada has begun a new national campaign called "Sisterhood" for its Red Rose and Salada brands of tea. "Technology and busy schedules are keeping many families and friends from enjoying the simple pleasures of life, like sitting down and chatting over a cup of tea," said Sandra Albrecht, brand manager at Unilever. "We wanted to help our customers find new ways to stay connected and ensure dear friends don't drift apart." During the initiative, 500,000 long-distance calling cards will be included in packages of Red Rose and Salada tea. The retail component also includes new packaging and in-store displays. The campaign also includes Web-based promotion and print advertising in magazines aimed at women. The campaign was developed by Venture Communications of Toronto and DDB Canada of Toronto. Media buying was handled by PHD Canada.
