Quebec clothing retailer L'Aubainerie has begun a contest promotion called "Fashion Academy." The contest, aimed at students, is being conducted in association with Cégep Marie-Victorin's fashion design program. The winner will receive a $5,000 bursary and a three-month paid internship at L'Aubainerie. The contest is being promoted with television commercials, print advertising, online materials and in-store displays. The promotion was developed by LXB Communication Marketing of Montreal. "In a context where L'Aubainerie wants to offer its clientele clothes inspired by fashion's major trends, this program will bring us closer to promising young talents and will encourage those who desire a career in fashion," said Catherine Venne, the chain's marketing and sales director. "With this program, we position our business as definitively and proudly knitted in Quebec."
