Longo's begins Oakville campaign

Toronto-are grocery chain Longo's has begun an advertising campaign to promote the opening of a new location in Oakville, ON. The effort consists of outdoor advertising and direct mail, along with upcoming print ads, flyers, transit ads and radio commercials. The campaign, developed by Toronto-based Spyder Works, will run for eight weeks. The creative depicts a lobster claw holding up a red ribbon. "Longo's is all about their people and their product selection," said John Paulo Cardoso, chief creative officer at Spyder Works. "We made that the focus of the direct mail piece where we actually showcase each of the department managers giving food and recipe insider tips in an approachable way. That's how we brought the brand alive and feedback has been really positive."
