Toronto-based UpTrend Media has signed an online advertising sales representation agreement with Platinum Studios, which hosts Web-based comic strips at a site called DrunkDuck.com. "There's no disputing the pervasiveness and influence of comic book culture today," said Duke McKenzie, managing director of UpTrend Media. "Through our online experience we hope to help create the destination for all things comics." According to the company, the website has approximately 50,000 users.
