Rogers promotes Canadian Business Online

Rogers Consumer Publishing of Toronto has begun a marketing campaign to promote Canadian Business Online, its business news and information website. The initiative is intended to raise awareness of and increase traffic to the site, which is located at <http://www.canadianbusiness.com>. The campaign will include of online, elevator, washroom, print and radio ads using the tagline, “More of what you need to succeed.” One form of creative is wrapped elevator doors in office buildings. “This new medium provides a unique focal-point that generates buzz and visibility,” says Mirabel Palmer-Elliott, group director of marketing for Rogers Consumer Publishing websites. “These ads allow us to stand out in an increasingly ad cluttered environment.” Interior elevator ads from Captivate will also run in various office buildings in Toronto and Vancouver, supported by washroom ads from Zoom Media in the same buildings, as well as in restaurants and bars frequented by business people. The online campaign will run on business websites including Stockhouse.ca, CBC Business and TSX.ca, as well as through a Google AdWords program. Print ads will run in Rogers magazines including Canadian Business, Maclean’s, Chatelaine, Flare, Profit and MoneySense, along with ads on their respective websites. The creative was developed by Stephen Thursby & Associates. Media planning and buying was handled by MBS.
