Now Magazine hires Smith Roberts, Bang Media

Toronto-based alternative weekly publication Now Magazine has appointed Smith Roberts Creative Communications of Toronto its advertising agency of record. Bang Media of Toronto has been hired as media agency of record. The two firms will develop an on-going consumer and trade advertising campaign for the publication that will begin in the fall. Publisher Michael Hollett cited the companies’ previous work for the kind of retailers that advertise in Now as the main factor in the hiring decision. Smith Roberts clients include The United Church of Canada, Harlequin, Cidel Bank & Trust, Canadian Business Online, Blockbuster Video and WeightCare.
