CanWest MediaWorks prepares two new Ottawa community newspapers

CanWest MediaWorks Publications will launch two new community newspapers in Ottawa tomorrow: The Now EMC Ottawa East and The Now EMC Ottawa-Orléans. The weekly papers will be distributed within the Ottawa Citizen or in packages of flyers. “CanWest will engage readers in these communities with relevant, local content in an attractive easy to read format,” said Maurice Perron, newly-appointed general manager of the two publications. “Advertisers will benefit from CanWest’s exceptional flyer distribution services and will have the opportunity to specifically target Ottawa’s east end or reach the entire National Capital Region.” To produce these newspapers, CanWest MediaWorks has formed a marketing and operational alliance with Performance Printing, which publishes 14 weekly community papers under the EMC name.
