CanWest introduces Ottawa RushHour

CanWest MediaWorks Publications will debut a new publication today called Ottawa RushHour. The free publication, which will be an adjunct to the Ottawa Citizen, will be released each afternoon from Monday to Thursday. The publication will be distributed in print at 120 location in Ottawa and in PDF format through the paper’s website at <http://www.ottawacitizen.com>. The company expects the publication to attract approximately 60,000 daily readers. RushHour will contain local, national and international news, weather updates, lifestyle stories, recipes, entertainment news and television listings. “The Ottawa Citizen is the most significant media organization in the nation’s capital,” said Dennis Skulsky, president of CanWest MediaWorks Publications. “By leveraging the assets of the Ottawa Citizen to create Ottawa RushHour and fill this gap in the market, CanWest is strengthening its position as the primary source of news and information for Ottawa residents.”
