Whyte becomes president of Rogers Publishing

Toronto-based Rogers Media has appointed Ken Whyte to the position of president of Rogers Publishing. He will take over the post on Sept. 1 from Brian Segal, who is retiring. Whyte will have overall responsibility for Rogers Publishing properties including Maclean's, Chatelaine, L'actualité, Hello Canada, Sportsnet, Marketing, The Medical Post and Canadian Grocer among others. He was most recently executive vice-president of consumer publishing. Whyte joined Rogers in 2005 as publisher and editor-in-chief of Maclean's. Among other positions, he has also been vice-president of Rogers Consumer Publishing.
