BELL BEEFS UP SHAW SPONSORSHIP

Bell Canada has become the largest corporate sponsor ever of the Shaw Festival. The phone company will give the festival $300,000 over the next three years. Bell, in turn, will get more prominent signage at the festival, and its logo will be on all of the festival's printed materials and in its print ads. Bell is also sponsoring The Shaw's newly designed web site, is the official sponsor of all three Shaw box offices and is production sponsor of the festival's lunchtime presentations. The redesigned web site is aimed at attracting a new audience to The Shaw. It now has interactive components such as a downloadable file of music and images that spotlight the festival's 1996 production of Rashomon. The Web site address is <http://www.shawfest.com>. Bell Canada has been a supporter of the Shaw Festival since 1972. The event runs in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ont. from April 12 to Oct. 27. Print advertising for the festival began last week, created in-house.
