HARRY ROSEN GOES ITALIAN
By Adnews Staff
Harry Rosen is giving Italian designs an extra push in Canada. The upscale men's clothing retailer is turning a section of its flagship store in downtown Toronto into an Ermenegildo Zegna Shop. This boutique will sell mens suits and and casual wear from Italy's Zegna Group, an 86-year-old family-owned company with 170 outlets around the world. It has addresses in fashionable sections of Milan, London, Paris, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. The Canadian shop was designed in Milan. "Ermenegildo Zegna Shops the world over are similar in character, but never identical, always incorporating features germane to local color and culture," says a Rosen release. The grand opening is March 27. Print advertising for the store will begin March 26. It was created by GBBS of New York and localized for Canada by Reid Bell & Associates of Toronto. Harry Rosen has 23 stores in Canada, five of which now carry Zegna clothing. If the Toronto store is successful Rosen plans to open more Zegna shops, either inside its own stores or as stand-alone operations. Rosen has the exclusive rights to open Zegna stores in Canada.
