Hughes joins Shaw Festival

Theatre company The Shaw Festival, based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, has appointed Laura Hughes to the position of senior communications manager. She will begin work on Jan. 5 and will be responsible for developing the Festival's media relations strategy. Hughes was most recently publicity manager at Shaw Media. Prior to that, she was an instructor at Seneca College, public relations manager at TVO and publicity manager at HarperCollins. She has also worked for the Luminato festival, CTV, CHUM Television, Flip Publicity and DW Communications.
