Children of the Street conducts campaign

Vancouver-based Children of the Street, an organization that works to prevent the sexual exploitation of children and youth, has begun a new campaign intended to raise awareness of the risk of online predators. Developed by Will, the campaign encouraging parents to talk their children about online safety. It consists of out-of-home advertising, social media content and video advertising. The creative depicts a speech bubble protecting a child from a collection of hands. The eight-week campaign, running in Greater Vancouver, directs parents to a website at <http://www.havethetalk.ca>.

“This year, we wanted to focus on the scale of the issue,” said Lisa Lebedovich, executive creative director at Will. “It’s not just a few bad people online, it’s an army of them. But more importantly, we wanted to highlight how one conversation about online safety has the power to protect vulnerable kids from online predators.”
