Children of the Street breaks new campaign

Advocacy organization Children of the Street has begun a campaign aimed at teenagers intended to raise awareness of the risks of sharing nude photographs. Developed by Will of Vancouver, four-week campaign consists of out-of-home advertising in the Vancouver area, accompanied by social media content and a website at <http://www.stoptheshare.ca>. The creative depicts teenagers in intimate situations during which they appear to be being viewed on smartphones.

“It was clear from our conversations that scaring kids with the legal consequences wouldn’t carry much weight with them,” said Lisa Lebedovich, creative director at Will. “They already know it’s against the law. What they feared most was having their photos shared with unintended peers, or worse, their parents. It was less about the long-term effects and more about what would happen the next day.”
