Children Of The Street Society begins Uncertain Terms campaign

The Coquitlam, BC-based Children Of The Street Society has begun a new campaign called "Uncertain Terms" intended to highlight the risks of sending sexual imagery online. Developed by Cossette, the initiative focuses on tactics that online predators may use to exploit youth.

The out-of-home executions depict young people about to send nude photographs of themselves, with their bodies mostly obscured by a large text box describing the "terms and conditions" of doing so. The campaign also includes a 30-second television ad in which a youth tries to decide if sending a sexual photograph is a good idea. The ad has also been posted online. These are supported by a website aimed primarily at parents and offering advice on talking with their children about the subject.

The transit shelter ads will run in Vancouver for four weeks, while the TV and online components will run until September.
