Children of the Street Society breaks new campaign

The Children of the Street Society has begun a new campaign in British Columbia intended to counter the sexual exploitation and harassment of women. Developed by Will of Vancouver, the out-of-home campaign features young males posing in the shape of a skull and crossbones. The four-week campaign also includes a website at <http://www.toxicstopshere.com>.

“This is a complicated issue that required a simple solution for the predominantly out-of-home media placement,” said Lisa Lebedovich, creative director at Will. “We wanted to avoid scenario-based ads that would potentially feed into visual depictions of macho male stereotypes, so instead created a symbolic tie to the toxic behaviors themselves.”
