Future Shop begins Gifts You'll Want Too campaign

Electronics retailer Future Shop has begun a holiday season marketing campaign called "Gifts You'll Want Too." Developed by John St. of Toronto, the national campaign includes television, radio, video pre-roll and online display advertising, as well as in-store materials. The creative focuses on the idea that gifts of technology to a family member can also be used by the gift-giver. The television commercial depicts a man shopping at a Future Shop store for family gifts that he might also enjoy.

"What differentiates Future Shop from other gift-giving destinations is that when you give the gift of tech, other people get to enjoy it as well," said James Pelletier, director of brand marketing at Future Shop. "For example, when you give your husband a flatscreen, you get to watch your favourite shows on that flatscreen. It's a win-win for the gifter and the getter."

Public relations for the campaign are being conducted by Citizen Relations. Media planning is being managed by Media Experts.
