Emirates hires Citizen Relations

Dubai-based airline Emirates has retained Citizen Relations of Toronto as its Canadian public relations agency of record. The firm won the account in a competitive pitch process involving an unknown number of contenders. The assignment also includes media strategy, media relations, sponsorship activities and crisis preparedness.

"The Citizen team demonstrated a strong understanding of the requirements of our business as well as creative thinking and the ability to engage with our brand during the pitch," said Valerie Tan, vice-president of public relations at Emirates.
