Corby Distilleries conducts Wiser's Wants You contest

Corby Distilleries has begun a contest promotion as part of its "Wiserhood" campaign for Wiser's Whisky. The initiative, developed by John St. of Toronto, is called "Wiser's Wants You." The winner of the contest will appear in an upcoming television commercial for the brand in the fall of 2014. Consumers can enter the contest via the brand's Facebook page. Two hundred semi-finalists will be asked to answer a list of 15 questions, after which a judging panel will select 15 finalists. Online public voting from February to April 2014 will determine the winner. Voters will be asked to base their decisions on the "uncompromising quality" of each finalist's answers.

"Since the launch in 2008, The Society of Uncompromising Men has captured the imagination of Canadians," said Laura Bruce, senior brand manager at Corby Distilleries. "We've developed a devoted following of fans across the country who celebrate the spirit of the brand. It felt right to honour our Wiser's enthusiasts by giving them the chance to become part of the Wiserhood TV spots that they know and love."

Public relations for the campaign are being conducted by Hill&Knowlton Strategies, with media buying by Vizeum, digital work from Isobar and in-store materials from Commix.
