Edelman Smithfield adds two, promotes one

Toronto-based Edelman Smithfield in Canada, the financial and capital markets communications division of Edelman, has recently added two new staff members. Daniel Weinerman has joined the agency as a vice-president of financial communications. He was previously senior director of capital markets at National Public Relations.
Heather Ritzer has been hired as a senior account director. She was most recently director of capital markets at National. Prior to that, she was an account director at Hill&Knowlton Strategies and director of corporate communications at Yulu Public Relations.
In addition, the agency has promoted Nina Godard to the position of senior vice-president. She was previously vice-president of financial communications at Edelman.
