Travel Alberta has begun a summer out-of-home campaign in Ottawa. The promotion makes use of branded rickshaws carrying passengers around Byward Market. The eight rickshaws promote four Alberta experiences: fly fishing, dinosaur hunting, chuckwagon racing and golf. The fishing rickshaw, for example, includes fishing rods as handlebars and reels as wheels, with a rainbow trout overhead. The chuckwagon execution incorporates a wagon seat and a canvas cover. The campaign, which will run through the summer, was developed by Venture Communications of Calgary. "This creative execution increases curiosity and excitement about Alberta adventures and displays what the province has to offer," said Paul Hains, chief creative officer at Venture Communications. "Byward Market is one of Ottawa's highest traffic spots and exposure in this area provides an interactive and impactful way to bring Alberta to the centre of Canada's capital city."
